The Olive Egger is not a pure bred chicken breed and can be made from several crosses. Generally it is made from crossing a real dark brown egg shell layer with a real true blue egg shell layer. This will produce in the first generation some great olive colored eggs for your table. The photos of the Olive Egger are the offspring from the Black Ameraucana crossed over the Welsummer. However, it is not necessarily the cross that you will receive. We have several crosses that you might receive in your order and typically have no set feather color pattern. You will love these Olive Egger chickens.
