🥚 2026 Hard-Boiled Egg Eating Contest – Official Rules
Location & Check-In
- All contestants must check in at Big Tent in Parking Lot of Building B

Date/Time: Saturday, October 3, 2026 — TBD
Eligibility & Registration
- All participants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Contestants must be registered and have signed the official waiver form.
- Registration is closed. Open date TBD.
Contest Format & Rules
- The goal is to eat as many hard-boiled eggs as possible within 8 minutes.
Water (provided) is the only beverage allowed. - Each contestant begins with 10 hard-boiled eggs.
- Contestants must wait for the official signal to start.
- Dunking or crushing eggs is permitted.
- Separating yolks and whites is allowed.
- No touching eggs before the official start signal.
- Eggs still in a contestant’s mouth at the 8-minute mark may count if fully swallowed without vomiting.
Judging & Disqualification
- The official judges will determine the winner — all decisions are final.
- The winner is the contestant who eats the most eggs in 8 minutes.
- Reversal of fortune (vomiting) results in immediate disqualification.
- Any rule violation = disqualification at the judges’ discretion.

All participants must:
- Acknowledge the inherent risks of competitive eating.
- Agree that Cackle Hatchery and its sponsors may:
- Accept or deny entry at their discretion
- Change event details, prizes, or schedule at any time
- Revoke a contestant’s eligibility at any point

Professional Division
- 1st Place: $4,000 check + trophy
- 2nd Place: $2,000 check
- 3rd Place: $1,000 check
Amateur Division
- 1st Place: $500 + trophy
- 2nd Place: $300
- 3rd Place: $200
