Product Overview

The Hatchery Choice Bantam Female Deal 10 from Cackle Hatchery® is a small-order special for customers who want female bantam chicks without placing a larger regular chick order. This deal includes 10 pure breed, 1 day old female bantams selected by the hatchery.

This special is a great choice for city or town backyard flocks where space is limited and noisy rooster crows are not allowed. The chicks are sold with a 90% sexing guarantee, but sexing is not a perfect science, so customers should still have a backup plan in case a chick turns out to be male.

This special includes free shipping and free Marek’s vaccination.

Assortment Details

This is a hatchery-choice bantam female assortment. The chicks may or may not be assorted, depending on what is available at the time of shipment.

Possible breeds may include:

Buff Brahma
Dominique
Barred Rock
Rhode Island Red
Crele Old English
Barred Cochin
Barred Old English Game
Silver Penciled Cochin
Barred Plymouth Rock
Golden Laced Cochin

Because this is a hatchery-choice package, Cackle Hatchery® does not tell customers which color, type, or breed was sent. Cackle Hatchery® also does not keep records of which breeds are included in each order.

Customers should order this special for female bantam value, small-flock convenience, and variety rather than for specific breeds or colors.

Small Order Shipping Note

The higher cost of this special reflects the extra shipping, packing, and handling needed to safely ship a small number of chicks. Small chick orders require special care because fewer chicks create less shared body heat during transit.

To help chicks arrive safely, Cackle Hatchery® may use special packing measures such as:

A heating pad
Extra nesting
Padding
Insulation
Special shipping boxes
Special shipping arrangements

Free shipping applies only to this special. If any other items are added to the order, shipping will be added to those items.

Marek’s Vaccination

This special includes free Marek’s vaccination.

Customers who want vaccinated bantam females in a small order will appreciate that this service is already included in the deal.

Arrival Policy and Shipping Changes

Cackle Hatchery® must be notified of any unsafe arrivals within 24 hours in order for the customer to be refunded the chick price, based on the regular chick price, or to receive a one-time reshipment.

Because this is a small-order special, Cackle Hatchery® does not send extra chicks.

The confirmed shipping date may be changed at the last minute at Cackle Hatchery’s discretion, depending on weather at the time of shipping. These changes help protect the chicks during transit.

Regular orders must follow the minimum order requirements listed in the catalog and use regular shipping fees.

Backyard and City Flock Use

The Hatchery Choice Bantam Female Deal 10 is designed for customers who want a small group of bantams for a backyard, city, or town flock. Bantams are smaller than standard-size chickens, making them easier to manage where coop or yard space is limited.

This special is a good fit for customers who want:

10 female bantam chicks
A small backyard flock
A city or town chicken option
A lower chance of roosters
Pure breed bantams
Free shipping on this special
Free Marek’s vaccination
A hatchery-choice assortment
A small order without regular minimum chick requirements

Customers should check local ordinances before ordering, especially if their area restricts roosters or limits the number of chickens allowed.

Care and Brooder Tips

Bantam chicks are small and need careful brooder management. Before chicks arrive, prepare a warm brooder with clean bedding, fresh water, chick starter feed, and safe feeders and waterers.

For best results, provide:

A warm brooder before arrival
Clean, dry bedding
Fresh water at all times
Finely crumbled chick starter feed
A shallow or bantam-safe waterer
Good ventilation without drafts
Quick pickup from the post office
Close monitoring during the first few days

Small chicks can chill quickly, so warmth, water, and feed should be ready before they arrive.
