Description

Cackle Hatchery use’s our F1 Olive Egger hens and we cross it back with a mix of males of the Black Tailed Red Marans, Black Ameraucana and Cream Legbar. This cross will produce eggs that hatch into chicks and grow up to lay eggs that will produce a wide variety of olive egger shades and several eggs with more blue hues and chocolate hues in a class of F2 Olive Egger. We are sure you will love the Cackle Hatchery genetics we have used to produce these egg shell colors.

I ordered 4. Delivery was quicker than estimated and all arrived healthy, as always.
Three ended up being male and the female has not started laying yet but I’m hopefully for some nicely colored eggs. She is now 4 months.
The first male was full on crowing at 3 months (maybe even sooner) and was getting a bit aggressive. The other two started experimenting with their crowing a couple of weeks later and were much more passive than the first.
I’m giving 4 stars because I really wish there was an option to choose the sex.
