Rainbow Assorted Females
Product Overview
Rainbow Assorted Females from Cackle Hatchery® give customers the opportunity to start a colorful flock of laying hens with one convenient assortment of female chicks. This package is designed for customers who want variety in feather color, egg shell color, breed personality, and flock appearance without choosing just one breed.
These female chicks will mature into laying hens that can produce a beautiful mix of egg shell colors and shades. Since different breeds lay at different rates, this assortment can also help spread egg production across a wider period of time.
The Rainbow Assorted Females package is a great choice for customers who want a fun, colorful, and useful laying flock.
Assortment Details
This assortment is guaranteed to include hatchery choice of at least three different standard-size breeds. Depending on availability at the time of shipment, the assortment may include rare breeds and Leghorns.
Cackle Hatchery® will include as many different breeds as possible, with the widest available variety of feather colors and egg shell colors. Because breed availability changes during the hatch season, every Rainbow Assorted Females order may be a little different.
This assortment does not include bantams.
Feather Color and Egg Shell Variety
Rainbow Assorted Females are selected to create variety in both flock appearance and egg baskets. Customers can enjoy hens with different plumage colors, patterns, and personalities. As they mature, these hens can also add color and interest to the egg basket with a range of egg shell colors and shades.
This assortment is a good fit for customers who want:
A colorful laying flock
Female chicks only
A variety of standard-size breeds
A mix of feather colors
A mix of egg shell colors and shades
At least three different breeds
A fun backyard flock starter
A surprise assortment chosen by the hatchery
Because the assortment is based on hatchery availability, customers should choose this package for variety and surprise rather than for specific breeds.
Egg Production and Performance
Rainbow Assorted Females are selected from laying-type breeds that will mature into hens. Since the assortment may include different breeds, egg production can vary from bird to bird.
Some breeds may begin laying earlier, while others may take longer to mature. Some may lay more frequently, while others may lay at a more moderate rate. As a result, this assortment can help spread egg production across a wider period of time.
Customers who want exact production numbers or one specific egg color should choose individual breed listings instead. However, customers who want a colorful and enjoyable egg basket will appreciate the variety this assortment provides.
Temperament and Flock Suitability
Because Rainbow Assorted Females may include several different breeds, customers can expect a mix of personalities. Some hens may be calm and steady, while others may be more active, curious, or alert.
This variety is part of the appeal. Customers can enjoy learning the unique traits of each breed as the flock grows. The different feather colors, egg colors, and personalities make this assortment especially enjoyable for backyard chicken keepers, families, and hobby flock owners.
Rainbow Assorted Females are a good choice for customers who enjoy variety and do not need every chick to be the same breed or color.
Important Hatchery Choice Note
Rainbow Assorted Females are a hatchery-choice assortment. Cackle Hatchery® does not tell customers which color, type, or breed was sent with this package. Cackle Hatchery® also does not keep records of which breeds are included in each order.
Customers should order this assortment only if they are comfortable receiving a surprise mix of female, standard-size chicks.
If you want a specific breed, feather color, or egg shell color, please order from an individual breed listing instead.
