I couldn’t be more happy with Cackle and these chickens! They hatched on a Wednesday, and I picked them up from the post office on Friday. All ten were healthy and active right away! They are nearly six weeks old now, and still doing great. I believe I received a cinnamon queen, a cuckoo marans, a light Brahma, a buff Orpington, a silver laced Wyandotte, a black sex link, a white Plymouth Rock, and three red ones that could be Rhode Island Reds, production reds, or New Hampshires- hard to tell! So fun to open a surprise package with a perfect variety of egg layers for our new flock!

Fantastic variety in the box – only lost one (so far one week in), and it was the only Barred Rock. Ten healthy, adorable chicks arrived this morning in spite of the horrible weather we’ve all been experiencing. Great Assortment
This is my first time ordering chicks online and am thrilled with the entire process! The prepper assortment is perfect for farm life, laying hens and a rooster. The chicks arrived is great condition and have done amazing! I received some of the standard farm varieties such as Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Buff Orphingtons. I also was surprised to get Light Brahmas as well as a Bielefelder Rooster, a breed I never heard of but he is a perfect rooster for a small flock. Thanks again!!

Wonderful chicks
3 months on, we still have all our chicks! They are healthy and growing up. All are friendly and happy. The rooster I believe is a road island red, and he is getting his tail feathers in and is also pretty social and good with the kids. My favorites are my 2 Brahma hens. They are starting to pull ahead size wise and are beautiful. They have integrated well with our small flock of older hens.

Only 6 little ladies survived the shipping but is was of no ones fault but the weather. Cackle Hatchery was awesome and gave a small refund and condolences for our deceased little ones. I have no clue what’s in the warming box as in breed, but they all seem happy and eating. Cheers. :0)

Healthy, Great Variety!
Near as I can tell, I received 2 RIRs, 2 Orpingtons, 2 Barred Rocks, a couple of Easter Eggers, and maybe a Brahma chicken…possibly some other breed. But all are healthy and eating. I wanted a variety, and that’s what I got. A+

I ordered them on Saturay night and they arrived at my post office on Thursday! I received 10 chicks and they are healthy and acclimating well.
