If you are wanting to learn about breeding and raising Ameraucana, then this is the book for you. John put a wealth of knowledge and years of experience in this book when it was written. I wish he would have written it sooner because it could have saved me years of breeding. I absolutely love having it in my collection to review. If you are like me and find genetics hard to understand then you need this book to reference as well. I always refresh myself when it comes time to putting my breeding pens together. With the holiday season approaching this would make a great gift for that Ameraucana lover in your family.

I love that I was able to purchase a copy of this book from the cackle website, and can direct other members of the club, and those interested in the breed, to getting a copy of the book here still! This book has honestly been such a Godsend of information, and a refresher for further genetics information, (for those of us project minded LOL) the pictures were extremely helpful for me as a visual learner, and I think it can be one of the most useful tools in a home library to have. It gives a brief overview of the breeds history, lots of help in regards to housing and husbandry needs, even some to dietary and nutritional unique things for Amerauanca.
