Description

Roost Boost®

Developed and manufactured by Cackle Hatchery®. Chickens have a natural instinct to roost above the ground where they feel safe. This instinct typically starts and is practiced, around 1 week of age, so it’s important to provide your chicks with the opportunity to develop their roosting skills and increase foot strength as they grow. Roost Boost® from Cackle Hatchery® provides a simple solution for your chicks needs and helps enhance their brooder experience.

“This is a beginner roost for chicks to practice on and they typically outgrow it by the 3-4th week. It will make them more confident to fly and roost on your next higher and more stable roost you provide for them when you migrate them out of their first stage brooder. “

  • Strengthens Toe Grip & Balance
  • Supports Chicks Natural Roosting Instincts

    Roost Boost

Ordered two of these for our 29 (standard size and bantam size mix) chicks. They definitely like trying to hop up on the rungs, and practice roosting. By the time they were 4 weeks old they were tipping it over, which it states on the packaging up to 4 weeks. So not for older chicks, but they love it when they are small!

    Roost Boost

I am very happy I bought this Roost Boost for my 5 baby chicks because they had a lot of fun sitting on the various levels. When they got bigger and they went outside I had to hold it down with a rock so it would not tip over but they still loved sitting on the rugs till they were way too big to use it.
