- French Cuckoo Marans Chicken
The French Cuckoo Marans are one of the most versatile and most physically attractive types of Marans chickens. With feathered legs and striking speckled plumage, this bird is great for outdoor free-range flocks in cold climates as well as show-quality flocks. Like other Marans, this breed is especially rare in the United States. This breed produces a decent amount of dark brown or speckled eggs and also obtains a large size at a fast rate, so they can be a great addition to egg-laying, meat-production or dual-purpose flocks. Our French Cuckoo Marans flock is small, therefore quantities are limited. Order yours right away before they are sold out!
Many people who like this breed of chicken also like the original version of the breed Cuckoo Marans.
Sexing Note: Most of our breeds we can average 90% accuracy on gender sexing. However, with the French Marans breed it is more difficult for the vent sexor to make this determination, so for this breed our guarantee is 75% accuracy.

Love these eggs Review by Lost Trail Tanch
I purchased the FCM chicks because I love the dark red and brown colors of the eggs. They are so beautiful. The chicks were healthy and as hens are easy keepers. Very satisfied!! (Posted on 10/30/2019)
Nice birds. Review by Dr Jeffy
Ordered 3 females, but got 2 females and one male. That is the roll of the dice. The females starting laying at 5 months of age. The rooster is easy going and gets along fine playing second fiddle to a more aggressive black copper maran rooster. (Posted on 10/30/2019)
