The Toulouse goose, named for the region in France where it originates, is a large goose with gray, white and black plumage on a round body. The Toulouse goose obtains a high weight relatively quickly, between 20 - 30 pounds, and also produces a moderate number of eggs, between 25 and 40 annually. This versatile breed also has a gentle temperament, and they are good foragers, making them an ideal addition to a large gardens, orchards and pastures. They can be also be used in shows and make pleasant pets.
